Fitness - Walking and Water

This week I have started a 30 day walking challenge and a water challenge.

Walking: I found a 30 day walking challenge that seemed to be for the beginner on HeandSheEatClean.com and figured it's a good place to start for getting me back to fitness.

Apparently, my normal walking speed puts me at about a 15 minute mile. Yay?

I have a spreadsheet to keep track of distance/time. Also should get back to keeping track of weight/measurements (different spreadsheet).

Water: I hate drinking water. It's a bit better when there's fruit in it, but only time I down a bottle is after a workout, which I haven't really been doing lately. I like to say I'm used to living in a semi-dehydrated state.

That being said I bought one of those water bottles with the time markers on them.

This is my progress for today. I started at 1pm. I did drink something else with dinner. How is it recommended to drink two of these a day?

Will have to flavor these eventually.

Welcome to my journey

Hi! I'm Katie. This is my starting point. First off, I have become a lazy hermit. Part introvert, part working evenings/weekends and not having a social life, part strong desire to craft. I do lots of crafts (see my other blog sewdance.blogspot.com). They make me feel less like a couch potato when watching TV. I probably listen more than watch but... *shrugs*

Anyway, I find myself unemployed (again) and have made myself a goal to get in better shape. I used to ride horses in college and that was probably the best shape of my life. Workouts transitioned to ballroom dancing after college but due to not having time and money at the same point in time, I haven't danced competitively since 2012. I want to, but it's expensive. So that has led me to here:

I did lose 10 pounds last year by cutting out vitamin water. I'm slender, it's not about the weight for me, and while my resting heart rate is no where near what it was in high school (around 100), it's not where it was when I was active.

This blog will mainly be trying to keep myself accountable for my fitness, while also sharing makeup tips? At least trials (and errors). I want to branch out from my normal routine (when I actually put makeup on) of funky colored liner, under eye cover up, blush, and lipstick. I also found when googling, that I have an eye shape that's usually not covered by beauty makeup tutorials. My crease extends well beyond my outer corner, making me look like I have downturned eyes.

So I can try and do cat eyes that just take the lower lash line and extend it, but then I look like I have a fish tail at the corner (case in point below)

We'll see how this goes...
